As we move towards the final supermoon of 2025 tomorrow, I can feel the energy already shifting. Full moons are powerful on their own, but a supermoon brings things right to the surface — emotions, clarity, endings, realisations, and that deeper inner knowing we sometimes push aside.

This one feels especially significant.
It’s the last cleanse, the final release, and the energetic doorway into 2026.

Grounding is essential at a time like this.

Today, after a long walk in nature — and a blissful birthday soak in the bath afterwards — I found myself reflecting on just how far I’ve come. It’s just over five years since my heart attack, and I genuinely forget sometimes just how lucky I am to still be here.

My whole life changed after that moment. The journey has been long, messy, beautiful, challenging, and transformative. Grounding has become one of the biggest acts of self-care in my life, especially when navigating chronic pain, fatigue or overwhelm.

It’s so easy for the mind to spiral and the body to tense.
But grounding brings you back.
Back to yourself.
Back to your breath.
Back to the present moment.

And that is exactly what this full supermoon is calling us to do.

This grounding practice is incredibly simple, but surprisingly powerful — especially if you’re feeling unsettled, tired, wired or emotional.

You can do it outside, facing a window, or even wrapped in a blanket on the sofa.

Grounding Through the Senses

Take a moment just for yourself.
Breathe in slowly through your nose and gently sigh out through your mouth.
Do this twice, then begin:

• Notice 1 thing you can taste
• Notice 2 things you can smell
• Notice 3 things you can hear
• Notice 4 things you can physically feel or touch
• Notice 5 things you can see

Take slow breaths as you move through each step.
Let your body soften.
Let your shoulders drop.

Feel yourself return to your centre — calm, steady and present.

This exercise quietens the mind, resets the nervous system, and brings your energy back into balance — making it perfect for full moon release work.
