A Gentle Introduction to Group Reiki: Chakra Healing in a Shared Space
Last week, I had the joy of holding my first small Reiki Group Healing session, and what a beautiful experience it was. Set in a peaceful, welcoming space, the focus of the evening was on chakra alignment using guided meditation and crystal energy, followed by Reiki healing.
Each participant was new to group Reiki — and yet, by the end of the session, all had shared how calm, grounded, and uplifted they felt. The words “peaceful” and “relaxed” came up again and again. Every single person said they’d come to a group session again… and that absolutely means the world to me.
What We Did
After we had talked about the healing benefits of Reiki and what sensations you may or may not experience receiving the healing energy (everybody is different), we set a group intention for the session. I then invited anybody who would like to set an individual intention for themselves to write it down and we placed them into my Reiki crystal healing box.
We then began with a guided meditation, gently bringing awareness to each of the seven main energy centres — from the Root to the Crown chakra — visualising them aligning and rebalancing, supported by the vibrant colour associated with each of the individual chakras.
From there, we moved into the group Reiki healing. Everyone lay or sat comfortably, supported by soft music and grounding energy. As Reiki flowed, it allowed each individual to receive what they needed — whether that was stillness, release, clarity, or simply space to breathe.
The full experience lasted just over an hour, making it a lovely way to unwind and reconnect without committing to a full 1:1 session.
Why Group Reiki?
Group healing offers something uniquely powerful — not just the energy of Reiki itself, but the connection with others. There’s a quiet strength in shared intention. Even without speaking, the room holds a sense of unity, compassion, and collective healing.
It’s also an ideal way to experience Reiki if you’re curious but unsure where to start. Shorter and more accessible than private sessions, group work allows you to gently explore how energy healing feels for you — while still offering genuine support and deep rest.
Added Extras
As a little bonus, I created chakra crystal gift sets, available to purchase at the end of the session. These proved popular and were a perfect way for guests to continue the energy work at home.
If you’ve been thinking about trying Reiki, a group session is a wonderful place to begin. And if you’ve already fallen in love with the calm it brings, you’re very welcome to book a 1:1 Reiki healing session for deeper, more personalised support.
Whether you’re just starting your journey or returning to yourself once more — the space is here, and I’d love to hold it for you.
With love,
