Crystals Aren’t Just for Adults – Our Children Feel the Magic Too!
In today’s fast-paced, overstimulated world, our children are growing up surrounded by constant noise, technology, and pressure. It’s no wonder that so many young ones are experiencing feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional disconnection.
But here’s the beautiful truth — children are incredibly open to the energy of the natural world. And one of the most heart-warming things I’ve witnessed recently is just how drawn they are to crystals.
At my recent Open Day for Nature’s Blossom, I was deeply touched by the number of children who gravitated towards certain crystals without knowing anything about their properties. One little one would be instantly drawn to Amethyst, while another held tight to a piece of Sodalite like it had been waiting just for them. Their parents would share stories of challenges — anxiety, trouble sleeping, emotional sensitivity — and the crystals chosen intuitively by their children matched exactly what they needed.
If you ask me that’s not coincidence. That’s energy.
Crystals aren’t just pretty stones (although don’t get me wrong they are very beautiful) — they hold unique vibrational frequencies that interact with our own. Children, still energetically open and often far more intuitive than we give them credit for, feel that connection deeply. They are naturally in tune with Mother Earth’s gifts.
This had me thinking - why shouldn’t we encourage more of this?
A New Way of Supporting Our Children
In a world that rarely slows down, what if we taught our children how to connect back to their breath? To pause. To place a small crystal in their hand during a moment of worry. To sit quietly in nature, surrounded by the Earth’s calming energy. What if we introduced simple meditations, or gently placed our hands on their shoulders to offer calming Reiki energy?
These small acts can have a powerful ripple effect — grounding, soothing, and reconnecting them to themselves in a way that no screen or toy ever could.
Whether it's a piece of Rose Quartz in their pocket during the school day, a bedtime ritual with Selenite to clear their energy, or simply choosing a "worry stone" to hold when big feelings arise, crystals can be beautiful, comforting companions on their journey.
It’s not about teaching children to believe in magic. It’s about reminding them they already do.
As parents, carers, and healers, we have a chance to create new pathways. To weave in moments of stillness, connection, and healing that nurture their emotional wellbeing — without overwhelming them. Reiki, crystal energy, grounding practices, and nature itself all offer safe, gentle support.
Mother Earth provides everything we need. And our children are already listening.
Let’s listen with them.
With Love
