Morning Momentum at Laxey Glen

This past weekend I had the pleasure of joining a Morning Momentum event at the beautiful Laxey Glen. Morning Momentum is a community that brings people together through health, fitness, and wellness — and even though I wasn’t part of their regular group, I was welcomed with such warmth that I instantly felt part of the family.

The setting was magical. A beautiful teepee had been lovingly prepared, creating a sacred space where yoga mats were laid out ready for us to begin. The care and intention that had gone into this was clear — thank you to Rosemary (Work Well) and Leanne (Yoga with Leanne) for holding such a beautiful container for us all.

We began with a grounding cacao ceremony with Rosemary, opening our hearts and setting the tone for the morning. This was followed by an uplifting yoga practice with Leanne, bringing gentle movement and flow into our bodies. I really feel like this is something I would like to do on a more frequent basis and am definitely going to look into yoga classes near me. To complete the experience, Rosemary guided us through biodynamic breathwork, a powerful and deeply healing practice that left me feeling centred, grounded, and at peace.

For those seeking to go even further, there was a sauna (Riversea Sauna) and ice bath (Inner Alchemy) available for afterwards. I usually love doing both of these but this time I chose to integrate the experience more gently — with an oat latte from the Laxey Glen Tea Rooms! It was the perfect chance to connect with like-minded souls, each on their own wellness path but all coming together with the same energy of openness and connection.

What touched me most about the Morning Momentum event was the way it wove together community, movement, breath, and ritual into a morning of true nourishment – I absolutely loved it!  It was a reminder that wellness isn’t just about one practice — it’s about balance, variety, and allowing yourself to receive in different ways.

I left feeling inspired, recharged, and grateful — not only for the experience but also for the people I met. This has also sparked something for me: the beauty of collaborating with other wellness practitioners. There is so much power in combining our different gifts, and I’m excited to see where this may lead. So watch this space…  exciting things are unfolding.

If you ever get the chance to join a Morning Momentum gathering, I highly recommend it — you might just leave with a full heart, a clear mind, and new connections too.

Love and Light
