Reclaim Your Power: Coming back to yourself through self-trust, boundaries & healing
It is time to reclaim your power
This week’s energy has felt strong, grounding and deeply empowering. It reminded me of something important that many of us (including myself!) forget from time to time:
✨Our power has never truly left us✨
Sometimes it simply becomes buried underneath stress, overwhelm, self-doubt or constantly giving our energy away to other people. Slowly, without even realising it, we begin to make ourselves smaller.
Smaller in:
➡️Our voice
➡️Our needs.
➡️Who we truly are
But reclaiming your power is not about becoming louder, harder or more forceful - it’s about coming back to your true self.
What does “stepping into your power” actually mean?
For me personally, stepping into your power means:
✔️trusting yourself more deeply
✔️honouring your intuition
✔️setting boundaries without guilt
✔️allowing yourself to take up space
✔️and recognising that your needs matter too
It’s about choosing alignment over people pleasing - which I know isn’t always easy, especially if you’ve spent years putting everyone else first.
Power begins with self-connection
One thing I’ve come to realise recently is that reclaiming your power often starts quietly. Not making huge dramatic changes… but with small moments of reconnection.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been leaning deeply into practices that bring me back to myself as I had reached a state of exhaustion again and things were feeling overwhelming. Things I have been doing are:
💚self-Reiki
💚spending time in nature and walking when I can
💚slowing down enough to notice the beauty around me – usually in the garden!
💚daily gratitude practices
💚dancing freely and listening to music whenever I can
These things may only seem simple, but they shift energy in such a powerful way, because they remind you who you are underneath the stress and noise.
Nature has a way of bringing us back
There is something incredibly healing about being outside in nature, it quietens the mind and relaxes the nervous system. Suddenly, you can breathe a little deeper again.
Sometimes reclaiming your power isn’t about “doing more” – it’s about slowing down enough to hear yourself clearly again.
Boundaries are part of self-respect
A huge part of stepping into your power is learning that boundaries are not selfish, they are necessary. It does make you difficult just because you are protecting your energy – in fact it means you are beginning to honour yourself and the more you honour yourself, the more your energy shifts.
Your energy affects everything
When you are feeling disconnected from yourself, life can feel heavy or too much. But when you begin reconnecting with your own energy, confidence and truth… you naturally start showing up differently.
✨More grounded
✨More open
✨More aligned
And people feel that energy too – it is infectious! Ever noticed when you are around somebody who literally brightens up your day and makes you feel lighter just by being with them passing that positive energy to you as they go about their day!?!
Some journal prompts you can use for reclaiming your power
You don’t need to over think these answers or spend too long on each one – they are to make you aware and when there is awareness, healing can begin.
➡️Where in my life am I making myself smaller?
➡️What would trusting myself more deeply look like to me?
➡️What boundaries would support my wellbeing right now?
➡️What activities make me feel most connected to myself?
➡️What version of myself am I ready to step into?

A final gentle reminder✨
You do not need permission to step into your power.
You do not need to prove your worth before taking up space.
And you do not need to shrink yourself to be accepted.
Your energy, your voice and your gifts matter – and they are meant to be shared with the world.
